Hooves & Heart: A Client’s Journey with Fogo, Pisão & Urano at Monte Barrão

Three years ago I brought my dressage instructor to MB to look for a horse for her. After meeting my lusitano Fogo from MB she also wanted one. So we went to Alentejo. She found her dream horse, Picasso and I found my dream horse no 2, Pisão.

Since they were still young they stayed in training led by the fantastic horse man and trainer, Fernando. Monte Barrão became our home away from home. We went there every second month to ride our horses and spend great times with our horses and our Portuguese family.

A bond built on trust, strength, and quiet understanding.

Gentle soul, wise eyes, and a heart that speaks without words.

Young, powerful, and full of promise.

 Now our horses are in Sweden and they continue to be our dream horses. Always respectful, always listening and with great power. I am soon going back again because I already bought my third horse from Monte Barrão, Urano. He will be two this year.
